The schedule for the week of August 23 - 27 is as follows:
Monday–Friday: 9am – 12noon
Through music, singers in grades 2 - 9 are challenged and encouraged to reach a level of excellence while developing music skills, building confidence, discipline, self-esteem and an understanding and love of the art of music. Individual attention in music theory, technique and sight-seeing exercises, help young singers develop their musical potential. Children need not be a member of the Macomb Children's Chorus to participate in this workshop.
Registration Fee: $95
Early Bird Discount if Paid in Full By June 4, 2010: $75
Registration remains open until start of workshop, based on availability.
Cancellation must be made 3 weeks prior to start of the workshop to receive a refund minus $50.

About the Director, Jeffrey Zurkan
Jeffrey has a passion for teaching children to sing and sharing his love of music with them. He has taught all ages of students throughout his 20 years in music education. For the last 18 year he has been the vocal music director at Hart Middle School in Rochester, Michigan. Under his direction, the choirs, ensembles, and soloists from hart have consistently received superior ratings at MSVMA Festivals. Many of his students have gone on to study music at the collegiate level, winning numerous awards. Jeffrey has earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from the University of St. Thomas (MN), and an Education Specialist degree in School Administration from Oakland University. In 2000, he was named Educator of the Year in Oakland County by the Michigan Association of Middle School Educators.
