A program for dancers grades 3–12.
Experienced dancers, from beginning to advanced.
From classical ballet to Broadway jazz, some of the best dancers in the country are being brought to Macomb County to share their knowledge and skills with local dancers. While dancers sharpen their skills on specific dance styles, they will also learn about how to keep themselves healthy and safe, including the importance of good nutrition, diet and proper care of the body. The week-long workshop will end with a student production on Macomb Center’s professional stage.

The schedule for the week is as follows:
Sunday:
4pm – 5pm - Orientation and showcase performance
5:30pm – 7pm - Placement class (appropriate dance attire is required)
Monday–Thursday: 9am – 5pm
Friday:
9am – 5pm (includes afternoon dress rehearsal) with 8pm Performance
Tickets for the performance are available after July 1 at the Macomb Center Box Office.
YOUR REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
- Tuition—each participant will receive group instruction and performance rehearsal daily.

- Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs are awarded for non-degree credit, self-improvement, personal development and skill upgrade programs. Transcripts may be requested listing workshops completed.

Snacks, pop and water are available for purchase during all workshops. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks, lunch and beverage.
WORKSHOP PRESENTERS
Ann Parsley, Artistic Director
Ann Parsley holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oakland University, graduating summa cum laude with honors in dance. She holds the highest accreditation of Diploma Fellow of the Cecchetti Council of America. She is a Permanent Examiner, Liaison Officer and Past President of the Council. She has presented numerous students for examination and has presented teachers through the Diploma examination. Ann teaches at workshops and seminars throughout the country and directs her own school producing many students who have danced professionally in ballet and modern companies, industrials and videos. She is the founder and artistic director of the Macomb Ballet Company. Ann received the first Outstanding Alumni Award in Dance from Oakland University, has visited Taiwan three times to teach and examine, and is listed in Who's Who in America. Recently Ann was chosen to represent the United States as one of two delegates to meetings of the Cecchetti International Organization of Classical Ballet.
Samantha Shelton, Ballet
Sam antha Shelton received her professional training from Joffrey Ballet and david Howard Dance Center in New York and with Rose Marie Floyd in Michigan. For the past ten years, she has been on the ballet faculty for the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive, and is currently ballet faculty at Wayne State University and the Detroit Opera House.
Tracy Lynn Rysdale Hughes, Jazz
Tracy Lynn Rysdale Hughes has danced across the United Sates, touring with Toyota and Chevrolet in the International Auto Show. She has been featured in televisionn and film as well as onstage in Las Vegas and New York, where she was a Rockette for six years. Now back in Detroit, Tracy conducts dance and pilates workshops and dances in the production Red Hot and Dance at MotorCity Casino.
Chris Masters, Modern
A choreographer, dancer, artistic director and writer from New York City, Chris Masters is splitting his time working as a free lance choreographer, contributing writer for MOVMNT, serving as Artistic Director for the newly created Mack Avenue Dance Company, and as Vice President for a currency trading firm. A 2004 graduate of Wayne State University, he was a double major in Finance and Dance earning bachelor degrees in both. Prior to moving to New York, Chris served on the faculties of the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, the American College Dance Festival, and the American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive. Chris was recently seen performing with Bill Young/Colleen Thomas and Dancers in New York City.
Lisa Carducci, Hip Hop and Jazz
A native Detroiter, Lisa Carducci is now working in Hollywood as a dancer, singer and choreographer. She was a scholarship student at The Edge studio, formerly Joe Tremaine Studio. She has performed on television on MTV's Video Music Awards, Billboard Awards, Kings & Divas and Apollo. Her videos include Tank, Daz & Krupt, Youngstown, 504 Boys, Cottonmouth Kings, Reel Tight and New Maxim Donkey. She has also done numerous live performances, commercials and choreography. She has danced with N'Sync, Toni Braxton, Kid Rock, and Brittany Spears to name a few. Lisa teaches at several studios in the Los Angeles area.
