MACOMB SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA presents

Fun for Families, Music

Go For Baroque

Bach… Vivaldi… Handel… Pachelbel. These are some of the biggest names in classical music. Discover why at the MSO’s “Go for Baroque” spring concert, celebrating these musical masters of the 17th and early 18th centuries.

Joining the select baroque orchestra will be coloratura soprano Karin White, a favorite of classical audiences throughout the Midwest. She will lend her amazing voice to Bach’s flamboyant cantata Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen (Praise God in Every Land), as well as the sparkling Let the Bright Seraphim by Handel.

In addition to the ever-popular, beloved Canon in D by Pachelbel, the afternoon’s program also features a concerto for four (yes, count them) violins by Vivaldi and Suite #3 by Bach, which highlights the talents of the MSO trumpet section.

Be sure to join the MSO for this Sunday afternoon of some of the most glorious compositions every written. The orchestra is “going for baroque” to deliver music sure to inspire springtime.
