Led by clinicians and instructors celebrated for their expertise in Drama, Flute, Clarinet, Show Choir, and Children's Chorus. The Macomb Center has built a reputation for excellence by providing the resources to engage, enhance and extend the creative skills for students in elementary through high school.
The Macomb Center is home to several find Show Choir Programs for students in junior high, high school and college. Junior High Workshop—designed for teachers and their students. Magic Company—a high school program, and The Macombers—for select Macomb Community College students. Through participation in these programs, students learn the art of musical theater. Opportunities abound for singers to not only perform at numerous functions, but to learn the craft from professional vocal clinicians and choreographers. While pursuing their musical interest, students gain self-esteem, enhance their performance experience and have the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships all while performing on a professional stage.
The Macomb Children's Chorus—a program for students in grades 2-9, is a year-long choral program that strives to enhance and expand upon the musical opportunities that children receive in their school and church choirs by providing additional training and experiences.
The Macomb Center presents Page to Stage Series, a theater and literacy program that brings to life curriculum-linked stage adaptations of significant works of American literature. These world-class productions starring professional actors bring characters from history and literature to the stage—giving voice to words and inspiring young people to find their own voice.
