The schedule for the week is as follows:
Registration Fee: $95; Early Bird: $75
Through music, singers in grades 2-9 are challenged and encouraged to reach a level of excellence while developing music skills, building confidence, discipline, self-esteem and an understanding and love of the art of music. individual attention in music theory, technique and sight-seeing exercises help young singers develop their musical potential. Children need not be a member of the Macomb Children's Chorus to participate in the workshop.

About the Director, James Pecar
James Pecar, graduated with a degree in Music Education from Stetson University. He is currently the Director of Choirs at Chippewa Valley High School. His duties at CVHS include directing numerous extracurricular ensembles including being the producer and vocal director for CVHS Musical Productions in addition to directing 4 choirs, teaching music theory and leading a music performance seminar. Under his leadership CVHS ensembles have been selected to perform at many prestigious events including Michigan Youth Arts Festival and the Michigan Music Conference. He was recently selected as a Michigan Lottery teacher of the week.
In addition to his duties at Chippewa Valley he has extensive experience as a chorus master, vocal director and producer in corporate theatre as well as operatic and musical theatre stage productions. James is a sought after clinician for choral ensembles of all ages. He has been involved with the Grosse Pointe Summer Select Choir Program for nearly a decade and guest directed a Michigan Music Educator Association Elementary Honors Choir. He has also been recognized for his award winning work using choral music to build support for and awareness of the autism community.
