Latest Update

Dear Patron,

I recently reached out to you about events at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and Lorenzo Cultural Center. Shortly after that Governor Whitmer signed the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order. In response to this new directive all shows are canceled and the Macomb Center Box Office will remain closed through April 13. We will inform our ticket holders should this date be extended. You can also check | for the latest information and updates.

Again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

UPDATE 03.22.2020

Dear Patron,

We hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy during this tumultuous time. In order to comply with governmental guidelines and recommendations both the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and the Lorenzo Cultural Center are closed, and all events cancelled through April 12. Additional events beyond April 12 have also been cancelled with more cancellations likely as we hear from the many community partners and organizations whose events we host. We are working with the professional tours and community partners to find dates to reschedule as many of the performances and events as possible.

We are currently focusing on combating the spread of COVID-19 and insuring the health and safety of our patrons, performers and staff. The Box Office is also closed through April 5. We assure you that we will be working with each patron to give them the latest information and handle their ticket needs as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Like you, we are anxious and concerned about everything that is happening. The arts have always been a place to find peace and solace, especially during troubling times. We regret that current circumstances don't allow us to do so and look forward to being here for you as soon as possible. Until that time, be well and take care of yourself as well as those that need our help.

UPDATE 03.11.2020  Recently Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency in response to the presence of COVID-19 (coronavirus).  The Governor has also recommended that all public and private institutions cancel any event with an attendance of 100 or more people.  In response to the governor's direction Macomb Community College is cancelling all performances and presentations at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and the Lorenzo Cultural Center.  This includes temporarily closing the Let's Play exhibit.  These cancellations take place immediately and affect all events scheduled March 12 through April 12.  It is not known at this time if events will be able to be rescheduled.

If you have tickets or reservations for any event during this time you will be contacted by the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts or Lorenzo Cultural Center with options or to process refunds for the tickets you have purchased.  For information on events at the Macomb Center you may also contact the box office at 586.286.2222 and one of our staff will be happy to assist you.  For information on events at the Lorenzo Cultural Center please call 586. 445.7348.
