The Macomb Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to have teaching artists from our Community Partner, All The World’s A Stage leading our 2024 Musical Theatre Workshop. All The World’s A Stage (ATWAS), is a specialist in youth theater and was recently recognized as one of the top ten theatre schools in Michigan by AuditionsHQ.
This workshop introduces our students to the concepts of a Summer Stock Theatre production, going from audition through performance in a 2-week period. Throughout the 2-week summer program our Musical Theatre Workshop, students will be introduced to the 3 components of Musical Theatre. Placing focus on script and utilizing theatre games, students will develop fundamental acting, vocal and dance skills that not only teach the art form, but impact self-confidence, creativity, and imagination. Students will then take their newfound skills and apply them to production.
We are thrilled to announce that this summer's Musical Theatre Production is . . . . . "Mean Girls Jr" which will be performed on the Macomb Center main stage. Tickets will be sold separately and will be available for purchase through our Macomb Center Box Office.
