The James Jacobs Civic Engagement Project Presents:

Keynote speaker Carol Graham, senior fellow, Brookings Institution, and professor, School of Public Policy, University of Maryland, will share her research on the defining characteristics of communities of hope and how that helps them address issues.

Dr. Graham will then be joined by a panel to discuss how local community organizations are leveraging the science of hope in addressing the county’s Number 1 health priority: behavioral health and substance use disorder.

The James Jacobs Civic Engagement Program was created to bring nationally recognized experts to Macomb County in an effort to create thoughtful dialogue around issues of vital importance to the region.
